How do I clean and maintain my Aston Bath shower door or enclosure?

To clean and maintain your Aston Bath shower door or enclosure, we recommend using a non-abrasive glass cleaner and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that can damage the glass or hardware. Regular cleaning and wiping down after each use will help prevent soap scum and mineral buildup.

What is the difference between a frameless shower door and a framed shower door?

A frameless shower door is made of thick tempered glass without any metal framing, providing a sleek and modern look. On the other hand, a framed shower door has metal framing around the glass panels. Frameless doors offer a more open and spacious feel, while framed doors provide added support and stability.

How do I measure for a frameless shower door or enclosure?

Measuring for a frameless shower door or enclosure is crucial to ensure a proper fit. We recommend following our measurement guide, which provides step-by-step instructions on how to measure your space accurately. You can find the guide on our website under the "Measuring Guide" section.

What types of shower doors and enclosures does Aston Bath offer?

Aston Bath specializes in high-quality frameless shower doors and enclosures. We offer a wide range of options, including sliding doors, alcove doors, and square enclosures.

Are Aston Bath's shower doors customizable?

Yes, Aston Bath offers customizable shower doors and enclosures. We understand that every bathroom is unique, so we provide options for custom sizes, finishes, and hardware to ensure a perfect fit for your space.

How do Aston's Nautis and Belmore models differ?

Both the Nautis and Belmore are frameless swinging (hinged) shower doors, but they differ in how they accommodate wall alignment. Nautis uses clamps for installation, which requires the walls to be perfectly plumb, while Belmore uses a wall channel, allowing for adjustments on non-plumb wall installations.

What is the difference between Aston’s Coraline and Langham shower door collections?

The Coraline and Langham collections differ primarily in design and roller configuration. The Coraline line uses a frameless structure with a mix of large and small rollers, while the Langham line incorporates a semi-frameless build and four large rollers for consistent stability.

  • Coraline vs. Langham: The Coraline has two large rollers and two smaller rollers, plus the StarCast protective coating to reduce water spotting and maintain glass clarity. The Langham, by contrast, uses four large rollers.
  • Coraline XL vs. Langham XL: The Coraline XL is equipped with two large rollers and two small rollers, while the Langham XL uses four large rollers

Should my shower door be 72" tall or 80" tall?

Industry standard glass doors are 72" tall. While we have plenty of doors with this standard, we have seen an increased interest in our 80" tall shower doors. If you're worried about keeping water from escaping the top of your shower or offering a more luxurious feel to your bathroom, the 80” shower door deserves a closer look.

Are Aston doors reversible?

Many of our shower door models are reversible. The models that are not reversible include our StarCast coating, which is only applied to one side of the glass. Those models have a label on one side of the glass that should face outward from the shower since the coated side does not have a label. These models can still be reversed, but the glass that is reversed will not benefit from the EZ clean features, unless you use an aftermarket product such as Enduro Shield. Frosted glass doors do not include StarCast, so they can always be reversed. The reversibility of our doors means that you have control over where you prefer to enter the shower, near the faucet, or away from it.

What's the difference between a GS and non-GS shower door or enclosure?

GS stands for "Glass Shelves." The shelving system offers more rigidity to the glass panel without the need for an overhead support bar. Upon choosing a GS shower door or enclosure, a 2-tiered shelving system will be included to store your soap or shampoo bottles making your shower space more functional.

Do Aston shower doors work with both tiled walls and acrylic surrounds?

Yes, most Aston products are compatible with both wall types, but always confirm model specifications before purchase.

What does the process of a bathroom renovation look like?

Bathroom renovations can take months or years, we have anticipated your needs so that this process may be less daunting and stressful. There are 3 stages to a renovation: pre-purchase, purchase, and post-purchase. Review our Renovation Roadmap to see a full breakdown of what each stage can look like and how long they may take.

Are Aston shower doors easy to install?

Though many DIY'ers have successfully installed their frameless shower doors with the help of our clear and concise instruction manuals, Aston products are designed for professional installation to ensure proper alignment, sealing, and long-lasting performance.

Do you offer custom-sized shower doors?

We carry hundreds of sizes to accommodate almost any bath, and some models have flexible sizing options to accommodate slightly uneven walls.

Can Aston Bath shower doors be installed in any bathroom?

Yes, Aston Bath shower doors are designed to fit most standard shower openings. However, it’s important to ensure your bathroom has the proper dimensions and wall conditions. Some models may require specific wall preparation, like smooth, level surfaces, so it's always best to review the installation instructions or consult a professional installer.
